SEO Good Stuff!

Friday, 8. January 2010

Okay.. for those of you who don’t know, one of the easiest ways to attract traffic to a website is through publishing articles on a blog. These “posts” should be designed to be informative and helpful to others in order to attract visitors. So what we need to do, is to get the search engines to want to promote our articles. This in turn will result in increased business.

Getting the search engines to promote us is easy, but often a pain in the butt for competitive terms. Here are some tips that will help you get started.

Create really good resources… I mean blog posts!

  1. Link out to authoritative websites
  2. Add “See more:” for related stories
  3. Add YouTube video if possible
  4. Add content if needed
  5. Create/write your own articles (timeliness is key for developing stories)
  6. SEO Increased Revenue

  7. Create lists, i.e. “Top 10”, “101 list” (ask me for topic ideas)
  8. Create business reviews
  9. Include a link or two for ArizonaBusinessNestworking.com when opportune
  10. Create “Tags”/“Keywords” based on what people search for… use the SEO Book Tool or the Google Keyword Tool

Social bookmark blog posts

  1. The more social bookmarks the merrier

Point links at blog posts

  1. Google “blog” search for related stories (relativity is key)
  2. Quickly check to see if the blog allows comments
  3. Comment using your real name, or alias, not with “spammy” anchor text
  4. Use the URL for ArizonaBusinessNetworking.com related story (your blog post)
  5. Regularly do this for blog posts (even weeks old posts) as needed for better rankings

Doing the above tasks will eventually help your blog post become a valuable resource, attracting Google, Yahoo!, and Bing traffic!

Other ways to build links:

  1. Business/website Directories (there’s tens-of-thousands)
  2. Submit articles to directories (cycle through 16 – 20 article directories and submit a single article to no more than 4 directories)
  3. Seek out link exchanges (relativity is key)
  4. Create social-media website profiles
  5. Post answers to sites like Yahoo! Answers, WikiAnswers
  6. Google “best link building techniques”

2010 New Year’s Resolution Financial Plan

2010 Financial Plan

Congratulations on your resolution to get your financial health back.  Many Individuals, families, and businesses felt some financial strains in 2009.  When considering where to start your road to recovery there are several things to consider.

(1) Do I have time to figure it all out?  Many people are overwhelmed where to even start.  I strongly suggest you start with budgeting.  Lets see where what money you do make; goes.  Does it go for house or rent payments, car payments, insurance, savings, loans, …. Does it always seems like someone wants more money from you?  “Your not alone”

(2) How do I manage this debt?  Many of us would love to have no debt.  The best method I have found for this situation is called the snowball effect.  Simply take a few extra dollars a month and pay off your smallest balance loan.  Now that is paid off keep paying that small extra + the normal payment you were making on that loan that is now gone and pay it toward the next lowest balance “do this till your debt free”.  With a strong will to be debt free I have seen many people do this in 4-7 years, with no assets and at the end the house is even paid off.

(3) I have some investment and savings, where is the best place for my money?  This is where I strongly suggest you shop around for a financial planner.  Interview several, I would say three to five.  This person, team, or organization is in direct control of your financial lifestyle.  You should have a firm that is willing to tell you that your money is better spent paying down loans, not one that just wants you to invest to make a commission.

I would try and find a planner that will give you a low cost plan and a strong service model to keep you on track.  Your planner should have a written service model so you know exactly to expect.  I write this article to help those with the New Year’s resolution to get your financial health back.  “Consider my firm for your planning needs” James Rosebrough.
